Hummingbird, the AI-native Microsoft partner, and Lovable, the software creation platform that lets anyone build full-stack applications by chatting with AI, today announced a strategic partnership to help enterprises build governed, production-ready applications on Microsoft and pair them with agentic workflows. Lovable brings the fastest way to go from an idea to a working app. Hummingbird integrates it into the Microsoft estate a company already runs on and governs that implementation, so it works with everything else. Together, the two companies will take client teams from a request to a result in days.
The partnership rests on a simple idea. Companies no longer need to force every process into one large application. They can build the small, specific tools their people need and let agents handle the work that moves between them.
Why it matters now
The timing comes down to Microsoft. It has moved app creation out of the maker portal and into natural language. App building is now part of Copilot Cowork and is rolling out in public preview in Copilot Studio, producing governed applications that connect to organizational data through connectors and come with source control, deployment stages and versioning.
Lovable now works inside that model, and that is what makes this partnership possible. Teams can build applications backed by Dataverse, Fabric, SharePoint and all the products from the 365 family from within Lovable, and whatever they ship inherits Power Platform governance and security.
For years, the default answer to a business need was a bigger platform. Buy the suite, customize it and ask everyone to work inside it. That made sense when building software was slow and expensive.
